Success San Antonio L.I.N.K. AGM
WOW, the Annual General Meeting of the L.I.N.K. has been a great success! San Antonio, Texas, hosted by American Cargo Express, well organized by Rick Trizano and his excellent team. Can you imagine arriving end of September in San Antonio and feeling the comfortable temperature of around 24 degrees Celsius on your body and a cool breeze going through your hair. A nice reception on Sunday evening, during which the invitees could introduce themselves informally and the others seeing their partners being old friends again. Monday a long and official day, having presentations and discussion on the new members talking about financial matters and showing off the NEW L.I.N.K. website and it dynamic features. Tuesday and Wednesday all members have meeting sessions between two or more parties, as we say bi-laterals. This is the part, which is enjoyed most by the members. You hear buzzing around the room and hallways of the meeting rooms. Action is taking place and promises being made between members for next year. The internal L.I.N.K. sales (revenue) numbers have gone up by 40% compared to last year. Going around we noticed that most members proudly showed their name cards and the LINK logo on it. The priority countries in which we have been looking for reputable members have been filled in. Canada, just recently looked like a worrisome area, but as per immediate we are fortunate to have a new member such as Rutherford Global Logistics well represented by Patricia Horan and Karl-Heinz Legler. TopStar Cargo Bangladesh, just entering the group and already booming business with various members, each saying how good communicators these gentlemen at TopStar are. PERU, Seramusa, Mrs Rosario Delgado a good presentation and a highly committed member of beautiful Peru. Mark Fernandes a nice person and professional representative of Al-Barrak Shipping in Saudi Arabia and possibly soon in Bahrain. The Global L.I.N.K. presence is represented in 60 countries and has more then 180 offices and warehouses with highly motivated teams of people, each of them specialist in there home culture. We also launched the new LINK website, which will definitely be more dynamic. The engine used is more flexible and it will be kept up to date on a daily basis. Next year (2009) our founding partner in Hong Kong and China NAF (Northern Air Freight) will celebrate their 25th anniversary and it also happens to be next years hosting venue. If one notices a white spot on the website (www.linkglobal.com), not having a member in that particular country and you are interested, please do not hesitate to contact Mr Vic King e-mail: info@linkglobal.com
